Signal Boost: Escape From Reality – Open Call for Submissions

Signal BoostWe read for many things – to learn, to educate, to create, to whatever you want – but one thing is for certain: when we read fiction, we escape from reality.

Unleash your inner mythic self and invite whichever species you would like to dinner. This anthology is FANTASY.

Thanks to the invitation from Two Trees and the ASiFF (Asian Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers), Sarah Coldheart and myself will be editing a Fantasy Anthology which we are hoping to release by the end of 2015. Thus, this is an open call for submissions for you to send us your short stories on escaping reality.

There will be nitty-gritties but here are the important things:

  • You have to either be Singaporean, Malaysian, or living in either Singapore or Malaysia
  • Original Short Stories between 2,000 to 10,000 words in the FANTASY genre
  • Any setting, but make sure you have good plot and characters
  • Deadline for submission is on 7th March 2015, Saturday, 2359HRS
  • Email only submission to fantasy@twotrees.com.sg
  • Please do not query before 6th April 2015, let us read your story first
  • PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES. You can find them here or at http://twotrees.com.sg/Submissions.php

Hence, if you have a story for us, there’s no point concealing, not feeling it, or putting on a show. Just let your story flow, and we look forward to receiving it!

P/S – Really, read the guidelines thoroughly. It is incredibly important and will be directly related to the selection of stories to place in the anthology.
