About three years ago, I had a signal boost for a steampunk anthology on this blog. This anthology later became “The Steampowered Globe”, which got quite a bit of publicity on the Internet and in the Science Fiction/ Fantasy (SF/F) community.
This time, I’m happy to announce another open call, this time for the writers and fans all over South-East Asia (SEA)…
THE SEA IS OURS
Edited by writers Jaymee Goh and Joyce Chng, and published by Rosarium Publishing, this Steampunk anthology aims to be a collection of Steampunk by SEA writers for SEA readers (and beyond).
What constitutes SEA for this publication? Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Timor Leste, and Papua New Guinea.
You have a Steampunk story set in South-East Asia, or a parallel of South-East Asia
- You are a writer in South-East Asia, or has roots here
- You just have a compelling 2,500 – 9,000 word story to tell that somehow fits into this anthology’s needs
